The following is a comprehensive listing of opportunities in state parks and state forests. If you are interested in funding a project, donating
an item, or volunteering your time to complete a project, contact
Marci Mowery or 717-236-7644 at the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation for additional information or to learn where a project might be located. Keep your eye on this page, as the list will be kept up-to-date as projects are completed and new ones are added.
- Mowing/spraying/removing invasive plants
- Planting trees/shrubs—aesthetically as well as for buffering, shore line stabilization, and erosion control
- Establishing native gardens
- Soft launch for canoes/kayaks.
- Supply of bird seed for feeders
- Wildlife viewing blinds
- Trails, bridges, trail structures (such as steps), and
aggregate / geo-cell
- Playgrounds and playfields
- Handicap trail sponsorship/fishing piers
