Join the Friends for a relaxing and fun Earth Day in the park.
Celebrate Earth Day the Active Way!
Join us on Sunday, April 27, 2025, for a fun-filled Earth Day celebration at Beltzville State Park with the Friends of Beltzville. Enjoy nature, yoga, hiking, and a sweet treasure hunt, all while celebrating and protecting the planet!
11:00 AM – Earth Day Yoga in the Park
Relax and center yourself with a Gentle Yoga class led by Theresa Moore at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC). All levels welcome! Bring your mat and a $10 donation (or any amount) to support the park’s conservation efforts.
12:00 PM – Earth Pops: A Sweet Earth Day Hunt
Families and kids (ages 3-12) can join in a fun, eco-friendly treasure hunt for hidden lollipops! The hunt starts at 12:30 PM, with age groupings from youngest to oldest. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable bags to collect their candy and help keep the planet clean.
Post-Hunt Fun:
- Campfire Hangout: Cozy up around the campfire at EIC to relax, enjoy hot chocolate and healthy snacks (while supplies last).
- 2:00 PM – Earth Day Hike: Explore scenic trails on a 2.5 mile hike, family- and dog-friendly (on a leash). Sign-in begins at 1:00 PM at EIC.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable shoes for hiking
- Yoga mat & props for yoga
- Reusable bags for the hunt
- Water for hydration
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- A positive, Earth-loving attitude!
