Friends of Cook Forest: Walk with Friends

We’ll meet at the River Picnic Area in the parking lot in front of the new pavilion at 10AM to hike the 2 mile Cook Trail, a lightly used loop following Henry Run and winding through old growth forest. Old growth trees include white pine, hemlock, oak and black gum.  We’ll also see an old hollow chestnut snag, and pass by one of the few tulip trees in Cook Forest not growing along the river.  Pet/people-friendly leashed pets are welcome.
