Volunteer Opportunities

Date:  Wednesday, July 12th

Time: meet at 8:45 a.m.; work from 9-12

Location: meet at Old Forge Picnic Area

GPS: 39.795093,-77.4830446

Goals: clear campsites of overgrowth and prune

Tools Needed: Hand saws & loppers

Other: Hi-vis orange attire, work gloves, sturdy shoes, helmet/hard hat (recommend), safety glasses, bug spray, long pants and long-sleeved shirt, water, and snacks

Notes:  We will shuttle to the campsites from the Old Forge Picnic Area. Primitive campsites have significant overgrowth that needs to be addressed.  Participants can expect overgrowth at least knee-high. Work level will be moderate.  A few weed whackers will be available as well as a mower for larger patches of overgrowth.
