Earth Day, Volunteer Opportunities
The Friends Group has adopted a portion of Mountain View Drive (Route #563) from Deerwood Lane north to Pheasant Run Road, and then south back to Deerwood Lane in order to beautify the area around the park.
Date: Saturday 4/23/22 – rain or shine
Time: 8:30 AM
Where: Meet at Park Office Parking Lot
Dress Code: Long pants and sleeves (poison ivy always around)
Safety Clothes: safety vests & glasses will be provided along with gloves, if you have your own please bring them
In order to help out you must be registered with the DCNR as a volunteer. If you are not registered go to www.volunteers.dcnr.state.pa.us/VolunteerApplication.aspx. If you can help out, please email Helen Maurella at [email protected]. She will send a reminder email about a week before the event.
