Education, Latino Conservation Week
Sandy se jubiló con 20 años de servicio como Educadora Ambiental en Parques y Recreación del Condado de Dauphin en Wildwood Park en Harrisburg. Ella es una ornitóloga y anilladora de aves con licencia federal, capacitada con más de 25 años de experiencia en investigación y educación de aves.
Sandy lleva a cabo varios proyectos de investigación en el área central de Pensilvania. Además de los pájaros cantores y los búhos sierra, ha estado estudiando la migración del colibrí garganta rubí, así como la persecución, captura y anillado de especies de colibríes invernantes que se reportan en Pennsylvania. Sandy retired with 20 years of service as an Environmental Educator with Dauphin County Parks and Recreation at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg. She is a trained federally licensed bird bander and field ornithologist with over 25 years of experience in bird research and education. Sandy conducts several research projects in the central Pennsylvania area. In addition to songbirds and saw-whet owls, she has been studying the ruby-throated hummingbird migration as well as chasing, catching and banding wintering hummingbird species that are reported in Pennsylvania. Her program will be about these hummingbirds.
