Hiking/Walking, Latino Conservation Week

Enjoy the (bilingual) “Smokey Bear Story” as you stroll in the William Penn’s Gibraltar Tract.

The storybook trail is on natural dirt surface and may be muddy when wet.  It is not very suitable for strollers, but children able to walk a mile should have no trouble.  The last part of the loop trail beyond the end of the story is more challenging, steeper and rougher, with rocks and uneven surface. If you don’t desire such a challenge just return the way you came.

The story will be available from July 13-29.

Directions:

One parking lot is at the State Forest gate at 18 Killian Drive, Birdsboro, PA 19508 and will accommodate about 5 vehicles.

The second parking lot is the Angstadt Lane trailhead along Route 724 near the PDOT facility at Angstadt Lane. This lot will accommodate 18 cars.
