National Public Lands Day, Volunteer Opportunities
Spend your National Public Lands Day with the Laurel Mountain Volunteers of the Forbes State Forest. Please meet at the Laurel Mountain warming hut at 10AM. For directions to the warming hut, please copy and paste the following address into Google Maps: 1120 Laurel Summit Road, Boswell, PA.

As always please be sure to dress weather accordingly, bring along work gloves, eye protection and a face mask. Please bring your own water and a lunch/snack.
COVID-19 guidelines for our volunteer events are as follows:
- Masks are required if working with more than 10 people regardless of vaccination status, physical distancing still required.
- Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals when working in groups of 10 or less people.
- All unvaccinated individuals must wear masks at all times, even if outdoors and physically distanced from others.
We will not be asking about your vaccination status. Please be courteous and respectful of these guidelines and continue to be mindful if you have recently been in contact with anyone that’s had COVID-19 or if you experience any COVID-19 symptoms and plan to stay home if you are sick.
