Walk with Dr. Colby Wesner, pediatrician, and the PA Parks and Forests Foundation at Bald Eagle State Park!
Bring the whole family for this free walk along Butterfly Trail, 1.5 miles on a mowed grass path, guided by pediatrician Dr. Colby Wesner. Hosted by the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation in partnership with Dr. Wesner, we hope to inspire families to get outdoors together and to promote healthy active lifestyles by enjoying our state’s parks and forests.
Colby Wesner is a pediatrician who is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hospitalist medicine. He was born and raised in central Pennsylvania and has enjoyed camping and backpacking throughout the PA state parks with his wife Stephanie, and 2 year old daughter, Brielle. Wesner completed his pediatric training at Geisinger Medical Center, and currently works as a pediatric hospitalist at Mount Nittany Medical Center. In his spare time, Wesner is proud to serve as the president of the ThinkBIG Pediatric Cancer Fund, which aims to assist families in central and northeast PA who are battling pediatric cancer.
Meet at the picnic area (with modern restrooms) on Skyline Drive for this pleasant evening stroll. Registration in advance is appreciated. Photo and liability waivers will be collected at the event; download and bring them with you to save a little time on site!
