National Public Lands Day at Wolf Rock

Wolf Rock in the Gallitzin State Forest has suffered vandalism and graffiti during COVID-19 and it's time to Clean It Up. Join volunteers organized by enthusiasts from the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail group and PPFF Pam as we tackle the ugly. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided. Please wear long sleeves and pants to protect against bugs and the graffiti removal chemicals! We'll meet along Verla Drive in Ogle Township (15963).

Two Sundays in October will give the Friends of Oil Creek a leg-up on ski season ahead of glorious snows to come. Join in on Sundays, October 11 and 25.  Work includes clearing trails, painting blazes, ditch work, etc.  Meet at the ski hut parking lot at 1:15.  If you have favorite tools like trimmers-pruners, maddock, or shovel, bring them.  The Friends will provide some tools.  Volunteers will be able to social distance and work in small groups.  Hope to…
