Our Joseph Ibberson Government Award winner this year, Maryann began her career with DCNR in 1981 and just retired from R.B. Winter State Park.

Thousands – literally thousands – of youngsters (and their parents) have participated in a class or program taught, organized, or dreamed up by her in those 36 years. A homeschooling parent who grew up at the park and now brings her own children to Maryann’s programs looks forward to meeting a new educator. But what if funding cuts prevented hiring a replacement?
