Camp Hill, PA –The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation (PPFF), the only non-profit whose mission is Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests, today announced the appointment of Nancy Ball to its board of directors, effective January 1st, 2017.
Ms. Ball recently retired as the Director of Sponsored Programs, Office of the Provost, Lafayette College, where she was responsible for expanding funding and grants to support research. Nancy brings with her significant fundraising and volunteer experience and an interest in engaging college students in outdoor recreation and volunteerism.
“The development experience that Nancy brings to the board of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation will be helpful in advancing our mission of stewardship of our state parks and forests,” said Marci Mowery, President of the Foundation. “Her enthusiasm of our state parks and forests allows her to understand the appreciation many of our park and forests users have for these public lands.”
Ms. Ball’s three year term will begin in January 2017. She will join two additional new board members including Jae Ellison and Senator Guy Reschenthaler.
New officers for 2017 and current members of the board include: Chair, Maria Montero; Vice Chair, Mary Soderberg.; Treasurer, Jim Grace; Secretary, Brian Clark; Development, George Asimos; George Fernandez, Gus Frederick, Maxine Harrison, Rep. Mark Longietti, Tina Molsky, and Barb Sexton. Advisory board members consist of: Linda McKenna Boxx, William Forrey, Jon C. Oliver III, Gary Smith, Mary Weber, and Rob Wonderling.
