Camp Hill, PA –The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation (PPFF), the only non-profit whose mission is Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests, will display the winning photos from the 2017 Through the Seasons Photo Contest at Shawnee State Park. The Best In Show, Critics Choice photo, shown above, was taken at Blue Knob State Park by Douglas Clifford.
The photo tour display at Shawnee State Park will begin on March 29th at 5pm with a ribbon cutting by the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, followed by a reception from 5-7pm. The display will be available for viewing in the Shawnee park office conference room for the month of April 2018.
“The images in the gallery capture the beauty and diversity of our state park and forest system,” said Marci Mowery, President of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. “Art is one of many ways that visitors enjoy Pennsylvania’s public lands.”
“We are thrilled to have the PPFF photo contest winners on display in our office,” said Dorothy Krupa, Park Manager, Shawnee State Park. “We are particularly pleased that a photo of Blue Knob SP was chosen as Best in Show, Critics Choice.”

The photos displayed were chosen from more than 400 photographs entered by both amateur and professional photographers. The display includes those awarded 1st and 2nd place by popular vote and a critics’ choice in 5 categories. Also included in the photo display are 2 Best In Show photos, awarded by overall popular vote and critics’ choice, as well as 2 honorable mentions. All photos are taken in a Pennsylvania state park or forest.
