Buffer zone Planting along the dock access trail – plantings to be a variety of native tree and shrub species that will act as a buffer between the state park and private land owners, help to prevent erosion and create wildlife viewing opportunities
Debris Field Spraying – the debris field where remnants of the Kinzua Viaduct sit is sprayed annually to prevent overgrowth of vegetation and existence of invasive species. This action allows for better viewscapes by visiting park patrons.
Install a footbridge across Rapid Run below the Halfway Dam. This footbridge will provide trail access around Halfway Lake so visitors do not have to use the berm of the road on the Penn Dot bridge along Route 192.
Environmental education equipment--microscopes, etc.
Invasive removal of Mile-A-Minute. Funding would be in the form of monies for continued spraying with certified contractor in areas of heavy infestation (already on a renewable contract); and monies for restoration of natives.
