Earth Day, Volunteer Opportunities
On the second Saturday each month, the Friends are out doing projects. Meet at 9:00 AM at Pavilion #1 and you’ll be able to join in. There is always firewood to move and stack or flower beds to care for.
In the spirit of Earth Day, tasks for the day include trail sign installation, trail tread improvement, trail blaze restoration, and maintenance of the equipment at the playground near Pavilion #1. We will have all the tools needed, but be sure to bring a pair of work gloves for yourself.
After a morning of work, all volunteers are invited to stay and enjoy a free Pizza lunch from the Friends. If you are planning to come out to help and have not already done so please drop the Friends an email at [email protected] and let us know how many will be in your group. Please send in your email no later than Monday April 7, so they can plan appropriately.
