Earth Day, Volunteer Opportunities
Come out and join the Friends to honor Earth Day!
The Friends Board Meeting will be held at the Tuscarora State Park Visitor Center and will begin at 9am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The April Volunteer Project will begin at 9:30am and we will be organizing into three groups and tackling the following projects in preparation for the Summer Season:
- Playground at Tuscarora – Spread mulch, rake leaves, trim the area, clean playground equipment
- Boat Dock Area – Clean up the boat dock area in preparation for the summer boating season
- Cabin and Yurt Clean up – Clean up the cabin and yurt area, rake leaves, trim the area, general preparation for the summer camping season
There will be additional tools available but please bring work gloves, wear appropriate footwear, and dress for the weather. If you have rakes, shovels, buckets etc. you may bring them with you. Please wear/bring bug spray with you.
