PPFF invites you to a series of Lunch & Learn presentations on our Facebook page and YouTube channel. Every Tuesday at noon, we'll provide a guest and an interesting topic. You bring the lunch! International Bat Night at Nockamixon State Park

Join the Friends of Nockamixon State Park to learn about bats and their habitat and appreciate this delicate species. The evening will include children's crafts, batty refreshments, and an educational program from Stephanie Stronsick from PA Bat rescue. Wrap up the evening with a bat walk. Prizes and fun! Meet at the Environmental Education Center near parking lot 12.

The monthly tours of the park mansion (and a family-friendly program) make their return at last. However, a maximum of 25 people will be allowed in the mansion at one time with masks required for all who enter. September 6: Plein Air with Barrios Allegra October 20-24: A Day of the Dead program with activities all five days culminating in Volunteer Appreciation on the 24th

Game of Logging: Chainsaw Training for Volunteers

The Game of Logging (GOL) is widely acknowledged as the premier chainsaw safety and productivity training program in the country, offering hands-on chainsaw safety training in a competitive environment. Top instructors across the country combine demonstration with participation to teach chainsaw safety, productivity, conservation, and cutting techniques. This one-day course is designed to meet DCNR's requirements for the use of chainsaws by trail volunteers, and the trainer is acceptable to both the Bureau of Forestry and the Bureau of State…
