  • In 2022, the first Healthy Lands Week from September 24 through October 2 will bring together Pennsylvanians of every interest and location to learn more about the natural and cultural resources of the commonwealth, participate in a stewardship project, or simply enjoy everything those places in the landscape have to offer.

Find an event in your neighborhood or donate to the fund that will provide support for future Healthy Lands Week projects.

Register a state park or state forest Healthy Lands Week event here. Maybe it’s a trail maintenance day, clean-up of your park’s pollinator garden, invasive species removal work, or repairs to an historic structure. Maybe you’d like to lead a bike ride on your favorite state park trail or a hike on your favorite state forest path. Maybe you want to host an open house so the community understands the assets available at your park or forest. Whatever your group envisions, it just might help your neighbor come to understand – as you do – the importance of Pennsylvania’s parks and forests.

The Foundation will provide a small box of snacks and giveaways for your volunteers/participants if we receive your event registration prior to September 2 (although you can register your event up until October 2). Organizers of registered events are eligible to participate in a pool of $1,000 (divided among six randomly-selected events) to be used in support of hosting the event, such as to purchase additional snacks or supplies needed to make the event a success.

Are you a business or other organization that would like to arrange a day of stewardship for your employees or members? Contact Marci Mowery at PPFF to talk about who, what, when, where, and how!
