Recently, funds from your purchases at the Ohiopyle retail shop were used to buy a golf cart for the campground host. Hosts are volunteers who do a variety of tasks--greeting visitors, providing information, light maintenance, camp checks, and more.

In 2021, then student Alyson R. approached PPFF to see if she could work with PPFF to submit a grant as part of a class that she was taking. We agreed and worked with her to apply to National Fuel to make improvements to the amphitheater at Sinnemahoning State Park. The park added some additional funding to not only improve the amphitheater, but to move it to a more accessible location for visitors. PPFF then supplied additional funding to landscape around the amphitheater, using native Pennsylvania trees and shrubs.

What a day of work and play! PPFF staff spent the day planning for next year at Little Buffalo State Park. We visited several projects underway or completed around the park, like the inclusive playground, accessible dock, and rail car restoration, that we’ve helped fund from donors, fundraisers, memberships, and grants.
