PPFF President Marci Mowery was joined by several members of the environmental community at the Capitol’s Main Rotunda on Monday, January 28 with remarks to formally announce the release of “Pennsylvania’s State Parks & Forests: The Future is in Our Hands.” This report is the culmination of a years-long study on the backlog of maintenance projects plaguing our state parks and forests.
Emceed and with remarks by PPFF Board Vice Chair (and director of operations for REI’s East Coast Distribution Center) Tina Molski, the event included remarks by Katie Hess of South Mountain Partnership; Maria Montero, PPFF Board Member and External Affairs Manager of Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority; John Kline of the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists; Andre Weltman, Chair of the Friends of Pine Grove Furnace State Park; and Richard Lewis, President of the Pennsylvania Forestry Association.
